Parental Engagement for Schools and Settings
A responsive workshop delivered by Janet Davies. Janet has 30 years’ experience in teaching, managing and leading schools, settings and clusters across all phases. Priced to be affordable, this workshop will explore the overall principles of parental engagement and how they can work in your school or setting with a focus on engaging families in learning in order to effectively support their child in school. For anyone working in an education environment.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop participants will have developed:

An overarching understanding of how to develop parental engagement to support children’s learning across the school

How to model, mentor, coach parents in their unique role to provide an effective home learning environment

An action plan on how to both review and improve current practice, and to introduce new strategies and resources going forward

An approach to engage and motivate staff to work more effectively with parents and develop sustainable practice

Who can attend?
This training is open to all educators wishing to improve family engagement within their practice and setting.
All delegates are required to complete the evaluation form on arrival and again before leaving the event.
Event location and times
This training starts at 9.30am and finishes at 3pm.
Ground Floor East, Oakland House, Talbot Road M16 0PQ. Oakland House is 5 minutes walking distance from both Old Trafford and Trafford Bar tram stops. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or purchase items from our on-site sandwich shop. Other coffee shops and cafes are a 5-10 min walk away.
Booking details
