In this full day Precon, Bob Ward, Buck Woody and Anna Thomas from the Product Group and Ben Weissman (MVP) will guide you through the options and selection criteria for everything from on-premises SQL Server 2019, through big data, Machine Learning and multiple Azure Data platforms in a seamless architecture based on your need.
We will cover:  

Hands-on training in SQL Server 2019 in Windows, Linux, and Containers
Hands-on training for SQL Server 2019 Big Data Clusters architecture
Hands-on training for Azure Data Services and the Azure Data Studio
Resources, techniques and tools for migration and upgrade
A decision process for what to use when
A set of project resources for the discovery phase through Architecture Design Sessions all the way to project plans for pilot and implementation  

You’ll need a laptop or VM where you can install software, and an Azure subscription.
Bob Ward is a Principal Architect for the Microsoft Database Systems Group which owns the development and servicing for all SQL Server versions. Bob has worked for Microsoft for 25 years supporting and speaking on every version of SQL Server shipped from OS/2 1.1 to SQL Server 2019.
Buck Woody works as an Applied Data Scientist at Microsoft on the Cloud and AI Team, and uses data and technology to solve business and science problems.
Anna Thomas is an Applied Data Scientist and Program Manager on the SQL Server engineering team at Microsoft.
Ben Weissman has been working with SQL Server since SQL Server 6.5, mainly in the BI/Datawarehousing field. Together with his Solisyon team, he offers training, consulting and implementation for global SMB customers.
