Description: New in 2020: Stand up paddle boarding on the Mosel River is sure to put a smile on your face! The Riesling wine region provides sweeping views, picturesque trails, beautiful village streets adorned with grapevines and ice cream cafes; don’t miss this itinerary. No previous SUP experience required, however water confidence, balance, and some physical endurance suggested. You will have the opportunity to participate in a guided hike with a 400’ elevation gain and less than 2 miles up to the Schloss (Castle) ruins. After our day’s physical activities you will have time at your own pace to explore the quaint river town and have dinner with a view of the water below. Note: The winds can be unpredictable.

Participant Restrictions: Ages: 6+, water confidence a must: young paddlers ride with parent, youth must fit in our PFD’s or have your own. Riders UP TO 250lbs.

Departure Logistics: Ramstein Outdoor Recreation’s main front doors will open for our pre-trip briefing at 0800. Please park in the covered terminal parking garage—not in the ODR 2-hour loop. The meeting area is inside the ODR Adventure Programs Office. Note that the retail store is not open for purchases on the morning of departure. Please stock up (see packing list below) ahead of the trip date. Restrooms are located in the back of the hotel lobby (ground level). A bakery for coffee, snacks, and ****-lunch items is located on the 2nd floor inside the hotel entrance. ATMs are located adjacent to the bakery for euro currency withdrawal (at least 20 euro per person suggested for all trips).
