Wine & Weave! | Emma Wood | Donnerstag, 02. April 2020

Wine & Weave!

If you’ve started learning how to weave on a shaft loom, and are looking for more practice (along with the chance to unwind, and get to know some fellow-weavers), then this is the perfect evening for you. Come pick up a shuttle and a glass of wine for a few hours and enjoy the rhythmic pace of weaving, and watch your cloth grow row by row!
There’s no pressure to make a product, and no lesson plan – these sessions are all about freestyle weaving and doing whatever feels best for you. Emma is there the entire time to help with any questions or problems (and naturally, to join in the weaving fun!)

Want time to weave a bigger project? No problem! W(h)ine & Weave evenings take place on two consecutive Tuesday evenings, so you can choose if you'd like to book a single session or two sessions in a row. That way you can leave your weaving on the loom at the end of the first session and come back to it in the second, giving you time to weave twice the length!
Session dates: 26.03.2020 & 02.04.2020

Please note: all participants should already have experience in shaft-weaving. If you’re new to weaving, check out the Weave 101 workshops to get started!

What's included?

Your own loom for the duration of the workshop, pre-threaded and ready to weave
All yarns and weaving materials
Access to a catalogue of weave structures
Wine! (Non-alcoholic options also available)

What will I learn?

Practicing and developing your skills as a shaft-weaver
New techniques and structures, depending on your project

What will I make?

Small samples that can be cut off the loom and taken home
